Who We Are
Nubuke Foundation is a Ghanaian contemporary art and cultural institution based in East Legon, Accra, and Wa, Upper West region. Founded in 2006, the Foundation serves as a nexus for preserving, recording, and promoting contemporary arts and culture. The Foundation has a wide range of programs supporting Ghana's arts, culture, and heritage and strives to support the practice of Ghanaian artists: young, mid, and late careers. Nubuke Foundation was awarded the Tourist Attraction of the Year 2016 by the Ghana Tourist Authority (Greater Accra Region).
What We Offer
Nubuke Foundation Accra was designed to serve the multi-program character of the Foundation. The grounds- which lends itself to a large variety of day and evening programs- cater to many audiences spanning networks in the city, country, and region and provide an educational and creative space to engage.
The Foundation houses a new bespoke multi-faceted art gallery, commercial art and gift shop, a co-working space, an artist residency, studio space, a library, and a pleasant mix of green, open recreational areas.
What We Do
At Nubuke Foundation, we work to make the appreciation of art, culture, heritage, and history accessible to all. Our artistic programming promotes the arts broadly, including art exhibitions, poetry or book readings, art talks, film screenings, performances, seminars, and workshops for the culturally curious and creatively inclined.
