Audiences can expect an experiential, immersive exhibition that provides a unique opportunity to experience multiple artistic approaches.
The concept is fuelled by the BBFA Collective's mission to engage in cross-cultural exchanges with women artists in Africa, the Caribbean and across the Diaspora. Their aim is to create much-needed dialogues with the artists with a view to affecting real change in the career imbalance women artist’s experience.
Participating artists are:
BBFA artists: Adelaide Damoah, Arlene Wandera, Enam Gbewonyo (BBFA Founder)
Ghanaian artists: Dorothy Amenuke, Latifah Iddriss, Samira Saidi
There will be an artist talk on Thursday 17 August, 2-3pm. The talk, chaired by BBFA artist Adelaide Damoah, tackles the provocative and urgent question: Is there such a thing as a women's art perspective or is art just art?
