About the job:
This role serves as an integral member of the management team. The Finance and Accounting Manager will be responsible for the development of Nubuke’s financial management strategy and contribute to the development of the organisation’s strategic goals. Build and manage effective and streamlined financial systems, including financial, accounting, and physical infrastructure. Implementing efficient financial procedures and policies for the business vision to be achieved.

Build and manage effective and streamlined financial systems, including financial, accounting, and physical infrastructure. Responsibilities:
Responsible for the end-to-end accounting process across the Foundation’s operations.
Prepare, review and monitor all accounting transactions and payments to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting rules, relevant laws, and government policies.
Serve as the management liaison to the board, audit, and finance committee; effectively communicate and present critical financial matters at select
Board of Directors and Committee meetings.
Manage Business Accounts and Banking relationships.
Manage the organisation’s physical infrastructure, facilities, and system maintenance.

Qualifications:
A minimum of an Accounting Degree or equivalent.
Knowledge of Accounting practices and principles.
Statutory laws, codes and regulations.
Grants and special projects reporting.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and taxation.
Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks).
CA OR ACCA is a plus.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in the fields of Accounting, Finance and arts will be an advantage.
